Erin’s Senior Portraits…

September 7, 2010

The more senior portrait sessions I do, the more I am convinced that seniors are just much better looking than when I was in high school.  Sure, we had good looking kids, but every single senior I have gotten to photograph is just head to toe gorgeous.  Miss Erin is absolutely no exception.  And her hair makes me real jealous.  I have accepted the fact that my hair is lame, but Erin’s crazy long and perfect hair is awe-inspiring.

Back to the photos…Brian and I had a super great time walking around and chatting with you and your adorable pooch!  Good luck during your senior year, and trust me when I say that college will be even better (especially if you move to Hawaii!  Owww owww!)  Thanks for letting us follow you around and capture your beautiful smile!

Jen

I haven’t had the chance to be around twins very often, so I was way psyched out of my mind to get to photograph these two little ladies!  You can find their mom’s adorable maternity pictures here.  So here they are – Charlie and Peyton.  They don’t require too much introduction, their personalities just shine on through.  Charlie is going to be the naughty, silent hurricane.  She will undoubtedly get her sister (and brother) into plenty of trouble.  Peyton is going to be the girly girl.  I think she will be the sensitive soul that will require lots of snuggles.  And for any of you that haven’t met these ladies yet, Charlie has the dark hair, and Peyton has the tiny face.  I tried to keep Peyton on the left whenever I could – hopefully that helps!

Brian and I agree that these girls have fantastic parents - Brittany and Chris are funny, witty, kind and very loving, and we look forward to developing a friendship with them.

Well, enough from me – here are Charlie & Peyton!

Senior portraits are so super important!  Look and identity is pretty much everything in high school, and the photo chosen for the yearbook will be your high school senior photo FOREVER.  Dang, that’s a lot of pressure.  Fortunately I have been able to shoot some amazing high schoolers that know who they are and what they want.  For now, anyways.

Tiffany was no exception.  We did our shoot on a  couple of different days and went to lots of fun places that I had never been to before (even though I went to Palisade High School, too!).  We had a good time.  And I will forever imagine her mom, Trish, riding a couch out of a second story doorway, so thanks for that, guys!

Well, tonight is my anniversary (4 years already!) so I better run and pretty myself up for a late dinner minus our children!  Have a beautiful weekend!

Brandy’s Baby Belly…

August 17, 2010

This is Brandy’s third baby (finally a boy!), but her first maternity photos.  While she has never felt beautiful in pregnancy, I think she is gorgeous and glowing.  I love her round belly, and I am so happy she allowed me to capture this special time – especially since it will be her last!

Thank you Miss Brandy, and I can’t wait to meet little Maz!

Baby Kinnley…

August 9, 2010

I met Kinnley’s parents, Kaitlyn and Ryan, at a family shoot back when Kaitlyn was pregnant.  I am so happy and excited that they asked me to do their newborn session!  Baby Kinnley is wonderful – and she was the perfect model!  She was wide awake and alert for the first half of her photo shoot, then filled up her tummy and slept for the last half.  Once she was asleep she just let me mold her and made herself comfy.  Her favorite nap spot was right on the back of our little stuffed lion, which went perfectly with her zebra outfit!  And if you love her accessories, check out Sailor Baby

So Kaitlyn and Ryan, thanks for introducing us to your gorgeous girl, and we look forward to future milestones!

My Sweet Cadence…

July 23, 2010

This is the first set of many, I’m sure!

Cadence Aparna Swedhin

July 8, 2010

7 lbs 4.6 oz, 18.5 inches

She is tiny, sweet and easy – she honestly just doesn’t cry.  And she has a squishy face, and I love that!

Maternity pictures are a very personal and intimate thing, so I was honored (and psyched out of my mind) when Brittany and Chris asked me to do theirs.  It’s not just everyone that you want to expose your belly to, as you can imagine!  Anyways, Brittany is one of those amazingly lucky pregnant women – she is tiny everywhere (including her belly), she can still fit into normal people clothes, and she has been blessed with twins.

It’s totally fair to be a little (or a lot, I’m not going to judge) jealous of how cute she is, especially considering these pictures are of her 8 months pregnant, and there are two babies in there!  I was bigger than that at 5 months with just one!  (I’m not even joking, so don’t laugh).

I am so excited to meet your girls, and good luck with all the adventures that two little ladies will inevitably bring!

I think little Teagan is going to make a great big brother – but I also think he is going to need to watch out for those girls!

Baby AmyKate…

July 19, 2010

My friend Nathan and I go way back.  All the way back to us as tiny kids in 6th grade, chasing each other around.  We became great friends in high school, and he has remained one of my favorite people into adulthood.  When Nathan met Kelly I immediately liked her, she is sweet, funny, and balances out Nathan’s nuttiness in a fantastic way.

As it turns out, Nathan and Kelly got pregnant with their first baby right about the same time I got pregnant with my most recent monkey – we gave birth just one week apart!  It is absolutely amazing seeing a child that comes from someone you have known for so long, and the feelings I have for AmyKate, who happens to look just like her daddy, are as strong as any feelings I have ever had for her wonderful parents.

So I proudly introduce Amy Kate Scheib, born June 30, 6 lbs 13 oz.  She is as beautiful as they come.

Oh little Gunnar…how we struggle.  I don’t know why, but pretty much every time I hold Gunnar, or look at him for the matter, he cries.  Or acts like he is going to cry.  Or gives me a dirty look.  What a stinker!  Honestly I was a little nervous about photographing him since he tends to shoot me crusties most of the time.  But much to my surprise he smiled at me!  A lot!  And was cute and sweet and didn’t make me cry!  Score one for Aunt Jen!

I hope you enjoy the wonderfully sweet (to everyone else) baby Gunnar!

Fireworks…

July 5, 2010

Here is a little collection of the fireworks we watched from our driveway.  Nothing too crazy, just a refresher for anyone that didn’t get to see a show!
